Combine PDF Files with Professional Tools

PlatinumPDF Merge PDF goes beyond simple file joining. It's a complete document assembly station that lives in your browser. Whether you need to combine legal contracts, merge odd/even pages from a scanner, or compile a student thesis, our tool gives you granular control. You can reorder pages, rotate individual files, and even generate a clickable Table of Contents automatically based on your filenames. Best of all? It's completely private. Your documents are merged locally on your device and are never uploaded to a server.

Powerful Features

Drag & Drop Reordering

Visual sorting makes organizations easy. Just drag your files into the perfect order before merging.

Interleave Merging

Perfect for scanners. Merge two files (e.g., File A: 1,3,5 and File B: 2,4,6) into one sequential document (1,2,3...).

Auto Table of Contents

Generate a clickable index page at the start of your merged PDF using your filenames as bookmarks.

100% Private

We use WebAssembly to process files in your browser. No data transfer means military-grade privacy.

Format & Number

Add unified page numbers, headers, or footers to your entire merged document automatically.

Fast & Unlimited

Merge dozens of files at once. There are no artificial limits on file count or size.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a limit to how many files I can merge?

No, there is no hard limit. You can upload and merge as many PDF files as your device's memory can handle. Merging 50+ files is common and fast.

Are my files uploaded to the cloud?

No. PlatinumPDF is a privacy-first tool. All merging happens locally on your computer using your browser's power. We never see your files.

Can I merge PDF and Image files together?

Currently this tool is for PDFs only. However, you can use our 'Image to PDF' tool first to convert your images, and then merge the resulting PDFs here.

How does Interleave mode work?

Interleave mode takes page 1 from File A, then page 1 from File B, then page 2 from File A, etc. It's designed for combining separate scans of front-sides and back-sides of documents.

Can I reorder pages inside a specific file before merging?

This tool reorders entire files. To reorder specific pages within a file, we recommend using our 'Reorder PDF' tool first, or 'Split' the file, then merge.

Will my form data be preserved?

By default, yes. However, if you want to 'bake in' the form data so it's no longer editable, you can enable the 'Flatten Forms' option in settings.

Can I add page numbers to the final merged file?

Yes! Check the 'Page Numbers' section in the sidebar. You can add continuous page numbering (1 to N) across the entire new document.
